Responsibilities:
As the Patient Care Unit Registered Nurse at Gunnison Valley Health, you will assess and care for patients by collaborating with all members of the health care team. You will assess and triage individuals who present for help with their own health issues. You will cross train and float to other areas of nursing as required. You’ll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:
Compensation: $31.28/hr - $43.80/hr, depending on experience.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally - Walking, sitting, feeling, crouching/squatting, stooping, kneeling, stairs, lifting/lowering (0-50 lbs), carrying (0-50 lbs), pushing/pulling (0-50 lbs)
Frequently – Standing, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, fingering
Continuously – See with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance
Shift - 12 Hour Shift
Schedule - Varies
Status - PRN

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, dependent care FSA, and Lifestyle Spending Account: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period in a Full Time or Part Time position are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire.
Full Time staff are automatically enrolled in 401A plan as of date of hire.
Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
Short-term and long-term disability: All active employees working 60 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
Work Environment
As a health care organization, we operate 24/7, 365 days per year. Candidates should be available to work a variety of shifts (days shift and night shift), weekends, and holidays. This position requires 12 hour shifts. This position can be fast paced at times, and slow paced at times, and candidates should be able to perform in both scenarios.
